Steelhouse Data Networks

By using a large number of, low cost, special purpose network sensors, Steelhouse Data Networks can provide time critical data across multiple low voltage electricity networks allowing more efficient operations and lowering electricity bills. 

Steelhouse Data Networks provides two platform services that are targeted at small electricity consumers. 

Data Gathering and Monitoring Platform (DGM)

Recording power quality (frequency, voltage, current, power) on a sub-minute basis. Overload and voltage problems in low voltage networks, if unmonitored, can lead to damage to electrical devices. If the power quality deviates too far from normal quality limits, damage can also occur. Access to reliable data will allow the low voltage network operator an insight into the network and the consumer the opportunity to process potential claims for damages.

Data Management and Control Platform (DMC)

Identify peak load and over-voltage in monitored networks, and actively manage through remote
control functionality. These positive steps, taken by the small consumer through Steelhouse, will assist in
maintaining network stability and will result in financial reward.
